My ERGO and Me

Leo and I LOVE this baby carrier! It's called an ERGO. It's ergonomically designed for both mother and child. Leo and I have tried many different kinds of carriers, and this one is by far our favorite. I must thank my friend Katherine for suggesting that I buy one. She and her 1-year-old son John use theirs all the time.

Another thing I love about the ERGO is that it can also be worn as a backpack. I can't wait until Leo is a little older so I can wear him on my back! I have another friend who puts her 2-year-old daughter on her back in her ERGO. Below is a picture I took off of the ERGO website. Am I allowed to do that? I'm still a new blogger, and I don't know all of the rules. Anyway, the photo shows the different ways in which the ERGO can be worn:

There's also a hood on the ERGO that you can use. When Leo falls asleep, I snap his hood on and he sleeps longer because it blocks out light. Today he slept for three hours straight as I carried him around in it. The hood can also be used to nurse discreetly.

When Leo and I went to the grocery store this afternoon, I was approached by two women who asked me what kind of carrier I was wearing and where they could get one. Both of them had newborns and had their bulky car seats hooked onto the front of their shopping carts. When I was telling them about how the ERGO changed my life, I literally sounded like a walking advertisement. I'm just so thankful, because this carrier has enabled me to get so many more things done around the house. It has also made Leo a much better date on outings!

PS - On Saturday I got a haircut. I had my hairdresser Ilana cut off 8 inches! How do you like it?

Girlfriend, did you have a baby two months ago?! You look like a slender babe!!! I'm going to go harumph and feel sorry for myself . . .

And, yes, your hair is totally cute.

The friend of mine who introduced me to the Ergo said to me once--cue serious tone of voice here--"The Ergo is perfection."
