We're back from vacation! We had a terrific time! We went to Cape Cod again, and it was so great to go to a familiar place where we could just kick back and relax!

Leo and Ben enjoyed playing in the water. I chickened out this time, because it was a little cold for my taste. I was happy video taping from the porch...

My mother came up on Friday and was a huge help with Leo!
Grandma Jeannie was kind enough to take us out to dinner on Friday night. She even taught Leo a new trick ('click clack') on the way home. Leo has recently reached a developmental milestone where he will copy what people are doing! It's really fun! Some things he'll copy are waving hello/goodbye, giving kisses, and clapping his hands. Below you can see him copying 'click clack.'
Another 'milestone' Leo has reached is learning to walk with assistance. He LOVES walking around the house while holding daddy's hands...
The view from the porch is just breathtaking. What a luxury to have the beach as one's backyard! I took a video from the porch to show everyone...
We saw several really neat things from the porch! One was a boat that looked like a pirate ship! Ben and I later found out that the 'pirate ship' was a ship called the Kalmar Nyckel, a tall ship that was built in the 1600's. We found this out when we took a walk into town and saw the ship docked there. I wish I had had my camera with me so I could have captured on the film the beauty of this ship. Every piece of wood had been perfectly carved, every rope had been perfectly knotted, and the sails were simply amazing.
Another thing we saw from the porch were two horses freely galloping on the beach! They even went in the water! Thankfully, I had my video camera on me and I was able to catch it on film...
Grandma Jeannie, Fran, and JoAnn were kind enough to watch Leo while Ben and I went out for our first date alone since Leo was born. We had a very nice date. Ben and I walked into town (which was only about a 15 minute walk from the house), we window-shopped, ate an ice cream cone on the pier, and saw the Kalmar Nyckel up close. I even got one of those 15 minute Chinese chair massages from a street vendor!
It was a really nice vacation! Sadly, it's probably the last vacation we'll have time to take this summer. But we know where we'll be going next summer! We'll be going to the same exact place and doing the same exact thing :-) That's how much we love it there!

Rebecca: I just now watched the video of Leo in the floaty in the ocean. You know, I have a phobia of water, so it's bad enough when I see photos of him in the pool. But seeing him floating in the ocean is *so* scary for me! It's like, my heart starts beating and I think he's going to quickly float away and be gone forever. I guess that's why it's a phobia! My poor son is not going to get the benefit of as much water time as Leo gets. :)
