Conveniently, Ben's father's tenants had moved out of the 2 bedroom apartment he rents out just a month or so earlier. So that's where we're living, and we're loving it. We're so grateful to have such a nice place to stay until we find our new home.
I also made the decision to leave my job as the Doula Coordinator at our local hospital. It was a tough decision for me since I loved the job, but it became clear that it was too big of a job for me at this stage in my life. I will continue to volunteer as a doula at the hospital though, which I'm really looking forward to. In my 5 months there, I was able to really revolutionize their program, and help a lot of women. They were sad to see me go, but when I accepted the job, I only did so on a 3 month trial basis since we weren't sure how it would fit into our family life. My last official day will be June 30th, and after that, I will stay on as the Doula Coordinator on a per/diem basis, training my replacement, and filling in for her when she's sick, needs a vacation, or extra help is needed. I will also continue to teach childbirth eduction classes which I love :-)
With all my free time now, I promise to update my blog again regularly :-)
