So even though I stay home with him, change his diapers, do his laundry, nurse him on demand, comfort him when he cries, gave birth to him without any pain meds after a 14 hour labor, he still calls me "Dada."
Three hours later...
...and yes, he is still in his pajamas and it is 2:00...

Oh, he is too precious!!! Smooches for Leo!
Rebecca, when I was listening to you talk to Leo, I almost thought it was Katherine L.! Y'all have very similar sounding voices when you talk to your sweet boys.

Rebecca,
It looks like Leo is very close to crawling...he's trying to figure out how to get on all fours in the first video. It won't be long! xo Mom
He's been doing that for months now, and he's still not crawling, so who knows! I'm in no rush to have him crawl, though. I'm selfishly enjoying his current lack of mobility :-)
John learned "mama" first and proceeded to call me and his dad "mama" for months. I was jealous of that too! He is 18 months old and just started calling my husband "dada" about half the time in the last month or two; the other half, he calls him "mama."
Yes, enjoy the lack of mobility while you can. Baby's mobility will rock your world (and not in a good way :).
Ashley: My voice, when talking to John, is much more high and chipmunk-like than Rebecca's beautiful voice!
Katherine, you are too kind. When I play back those videos and I actually hear my own voice while talking to Leo, I realize I've become one of 'those moms' who I think sounds so silly when talking to her baby! I never thought it would come to this! It is very humbling to say the least!
What I think is so funny is that it looks like he's been going through an intense interrogation for three hours in the bumbo, only to refuse to give his interegator the information she wants! He even sounds like he's sighing with exhaustion, "Sigh...it's Dada, not Mommy..."
Too cute!!!
