Last night, only a few days prior to his 1st birthday, Leo took his first few steps UNASSISTED! Unfortunately, it happened so fast that I wasn't able to catch it on video. That morning I had been teaching him how to walk using the assistance of the fire truck Grandma Jeannie gave him. In the video below, you can see him walking with it. Later in the day, he was walking with the walker, pushed it aside, and then just started walking towards me without it! He must have taken 5 or 6 steps before falling into my arms!

Leo went from crawling to walking so fast!
I know! He crawled just a few days before he turned 10 months, and he took his first steps a few days before he turned 12 months! He hasn't tried taking any other steps unassisted today though, so we'll see :-) When he did it, it was kind of funny, because I don't think he realized his fire truck walker had drifted away! He was walking towards me as if he was still holding onto it!
