Diapers and Wipes Shower

Yesterday afternoon my dear friend Adrianne was kind enough to host a diapers and wipes baby shower for me and our friend Andrea who is due with her fourth child about a month after baby Urban #2 is due. Since I am a second-timer and Andrea is a fourth-timer, we kept the shower very small, inviting only a few close friends and my mother. Instead of giving standard baby shower gifts, guests were asked to bring a small package of diapers or baby wipes. 

We also played a bunch of fun games. Adrianne gave us each 3 clothes pins when we walked in the door. If anyone said the word "baby," then the person who noticed got to take one of their clothes pins. In the end, the person with the most clothes pins won. The ladies also each took a roll of toilet paper and tried to guess how big Andrea and my bellies were by unrolling it to the proper length. 

Pictured above is the amazing 'diaper cake' that was made by Adrianne, Erin, and Heather for Baby Urban. It featured tons of different sized diapers wrapped up in an adorable baby blanket with some cute little yellow outfits. The 'cake topper' is a stuffed Easter bunny and an adorable bib since baby Urban is due right around Easter. I realized that the Spring is a perfect time of year to have everything green, yellow, and white since we don't know if we're having a boy or a girl...everything "Eastery" features chicks, ducks, and rabbits anyway this time of year!

Below is a picture of the other honoree, Andrea, whose diaper cake was pink since she knows she'll be having a baby girl. Seated beside her is our friend Ann.

Also present at the shower was my mother, my friend Chrissy, Erin's mom, and of course Adrianne. I apologize for not having any pictures of them! My camera is still packed in my bag for the birthing center, so I had to rely on other peoples' pictures!
