On May 23rd Ben turned 30! It's hard to believe that I met him when he was only 21! I guess time flies when you're having fun!
My family was kind enough to surprise him with a little party.
My Aunt Lise and Uncle Bob were kind enough to host the party. Thank you so much Aunt Lise and Uncle Bob!
Part of the surprise was that everyone in attendance gave Ben a card with $30 in it (since he turned 30) which he put towards buying his new laptop.
Below is a video of Ben opening his birthday cards (each one having $30 in it)...in the video, he is beginning to catch onto the theme...
Aunt Laurie and Uncle Steve gave Ben a very funny card...
My Aunt Laurie and Uncle Steve happened to be visiting from Florida. It was also the first time they met Jules. Jules (7 weeks old) really enjoyed Aunt Laurie, as proven by the picture below where he is actually SMILING at her!!!!!

The whole gang enjoying a wonderful meal cooked by Aunt Lise and Uncle Bob...
Below is a video of Aunt Lise bringing out Ben's delicious birthday cake and all of us singing Happy Birthday to him...
One of the party favors had a snap bracelet in it which Ben had fun showing Leo how to use...what a blast from the past! (Ben and I remember using snap bracelets in the early 90's!)
Aunt Lise and Uncle Bob live across the street from a really nice playground. So after we enjoyed some cake, we all headed over to the playground. The weather couldn't have been nicer! It was truly and idyllic day!
Our first family portrait since Jules' birth...

Grandma Jeannie had fun pushing Leo on the swings. She also brought Leo's tricycle to the playground which he's just starting to get the hang of...
It looks like Aunt Laurie and Uncle Steve borrowed my camera, and played a nice joke...
Thank you everyone for throwing such a nice little surprise party! And congratulations to Ben on turning 30! May all your birthday wishes come true :-)
