During my sabbatical from the blogosphere, I became addicted to a website called diaperswappers which takes cloth diapering to an entirely new level. Here is a way to buy, sell, and trade cloth diapers and other items for a fraction of their retail cost. High-end cloth diapers range anywhere from $15-$45, so diaperswappers makes it feasible to try a bunch of different styles of diapers until one finds the brand (or two, or three!) that work best on their baby. Mr. U will be delighted to know that I think my "stash of fluff" is now complete, and I am done buying, selling, and trading (or "B/S/Ting") for a while! This affordable alternative, quickly turned into a rather expensive habit. In the long-run, it WILL save us a few thousand dollars, but the initial B/S/Ting definitely created a dent in the checking account. So I am replacing my latest addiction with blogging, an inexpensive alternative, and I am going to focus my energy on blogging and organizing the items I currently have in my home...or how about this - I'll work on organizing the items I currently own, and I'll blog about that.
During my diaperswapping adventures, I came in contact with a WAHM (work-at-home-mom) named Sarah who makes her own bath products and nursing necklaces. As my readers know, one of my favorite things to do at the end of the day is to take a bath in my home spa-like bathroom retreat...my corner of our little house that I waited so long for, after sharing a bathroom with THREE males.
Mr. U knows me well enough to have noticed how rejuvenated I am after a bath. I have been taking a nightly bath (on and off - I am aiming for everyday!) since Leo was born. At the end of the day it was what I looked forward to - a calm, relaxing, bath in which I could truly relax without the chaos that mothering babies and toddlers brings with it.
So it seemed only natural that when Sarah was searching for people to review her bath products, I happily volunteered!
And I am warning you that I have absolutely nothing negative to say in this review, as I was totally 100% thoroughly impressed by the products themselves and with the excellent customer service!
The products arrived promptly. They were so much fun to open! They were decorated very tastefully and were packaged well for shipment. I had mentioned to Sarah that I really like eucalyptus and lavender...here's what arrived in my goody bag!

Eucalyptus Bath Salts/Scrub, Lavender Bath Salts/Scrub, Green Tea/Eucalyptus Soap, and Chocolate/Coffee Soap - the chocolate/coffee soap looked so yummy, I ate some...! (Just kidding, it was only half a bar :-))
Isn't the packaging absolutely lovely?

One of the things I appreciated most about Sarah's bath products were the generous amounts of essential oils she puts in them. Mr. U and I are both huge fans of eucalyptus, and we're incredibly picky...we really like eucalyptus that "packs a punch" when you smell it! We want it to clear our sinuses when we open the jar!
I am pleased to report that Sarah's bath salts and scrubs exceeded our expectations!
Actually, 3 out of 5 of our family members were sick with colds when the products arrived, and Mr. U and Julius showed significant improvements after using the eucalyptus scrub.

The first night the products arrived, I took a bath using the lavender bath salts/scrub. I LOVED it! So relaxing! A generous ratio of salts and essential oils, the product was a fast favorite. One of the things I really liked about it was how the salts can be used as both bath salts and as a scrub - so it's really 2 products in 1! I then brought the baby into the bathtub with me to enjoy the benefits of the lavender. She slept ever so soundly that night, as did I...enough said?
The soaps were really nice too. I especially loved the green tea/eucalyptus one...I highly recommend it!
I have not tried Sarah's nursing necklaces, but maybe she'll send me one to try?
