Apple Pie

I've Finally Perfected It...

One of my favorite things to eat and to make is apple pie. This evening I think I finally perfected it :-)

Bexo's Apple Pie:

6 medium granny smith apples
2 tablespoons of all purpose flour
Pillsbury pie crust (I've tried to make my own from scratch, but Pillsbury does a better job)
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons of melted butter
1 1/2 tablespoons of lemon juice

1). Preheat oven to 425 degrees

2). Peel and DICE apples into bite sized pieces (I'm a picky perfectionist, what can I say?)

3). Put apples in a large bowl and mix all ingredients into the bowl with the apples

4). Eat a few of the apples now that they're covered in sugar and spice and everything nice (because they're yummy!) :-)

5). Unroll pie crust into a pie plate and pour the ingredients into the pie plate. Cover the ingredients with the other piece of pie crust.

6). Fork the edges and make 4 small incisions in the center of the pie to vent. Bake on 425 for 40-45 minutes (or until the crust is golden brown).
