- 1). I can ask him "Leo, where's Jesus?" and he'll go to the room with the picture and point to Jesus (as seen in the video below).
- 2). He seems to be able to recognize pictures of Jesus elsewhere - such as at church or in other homes. Last night we had dinner with some friends in New Hampshire who had many pictures and statues of Jesus. It was very cute watching Leo go from one statue to another exclaiming "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!" We hope that this excitement and pious enthusiasm isn't just a phase!
Just for fun, at 16 months old, here are the words Leo seems to understand:
- Mommy
- Daddy
- Flowers (he calls them "Fla-la's")
- Jesus
- Doggy
- Lights
- Shoes
- Moon
- Banana (which he calls 'nana')
*And please forgive how the house looks in the video. I am currently in the middle of a major decluttering project which I'll post about later :-)

Very, very cute! John has a particular thing for Mary and has long been able to spot in most any kind of art. It's really heart-warming.
He's also got a pretty good understanding of:
water
splash
picture
foot
sock
hand
ear
mouth
nose
pillow
teeth
cup
...and "Leeeeeo (raised eyebrows, stern tone)

Jesus was one of Adriana's first words too. It show good character of the parents. We had a picture on the wall in North Brookfield she used to point to also. Your bringing back memories thanks. James is bringing back memories too he's starting to take some steps and he is so proud of himself. I hope Leo is feeling better.
pardon me, but i seem to recall he knows his gamma too! ;D
