It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas!

On Saturday evening we got our Christmas tree and trimmed it! In the six years we've been married, this is actually the FIRST year we've gotten a tree and gone "all out" for Christmas. We're loving it, and it's making the colder weather and our first snowfall (which was last night) a little easier to accept. This is the first Christmas where Leo has been old enough to really understand what is going on, and Ben and I have had a lot of fun creating new family traditions.

Some of our family traditions include...

  • Putting the Nativity Set up after Thanksgiving
  • Getting our tree the first weekend of December
  • Having Christmas music playing throughout the house regularly
  • Family prayers with Leo each evening in front of the Nativity Set
  • Allowing Leo to press the button to light up the tree every night before prayer time

Leo was so excited that we had a TREE in the HOUSE!
The set-up...

Leo kisses the angel on top of our tree...

Ornaments from the Sisters in Ohio...

The LOVELY nativity set Ben's mom got us last year for Christmas, repainting each figurine by hand! What a beautiful and thoughtful gift!
Merry Christmas!

Rebecca,

Your tree is lovely!

Can you provide a link for the ornaments from Ohio?

Thanks.
