$5 Lamp Shade Re-Do

I've been decorating the guest suite in a "shabby chic" style. I had 2 silver lamps that had been sitting in the basement unused with white lampshades...I loved the lamps, but their contemporary style wasn't quite matching the "shabby chic" look I was going for...

I bought these raised stickers at Michael's - they were on sale buy one get one free @ $4.99. They're perfect because they stick onto the lampshade well, but they don't damage it.

I gave them a whole new look for just $5 :-)  I'm sure I'm not the first person who has thought of this, but when I was originally searching online for ideas on how to redecorate lampshades, I was surprised that this easy, affordable, idea didn't come up.
