At first I thought my husband was playing a joke on me.
And then...
Scary, considering there were KNIVES in there within arm's reach! How do you childproof a dishwasher? Do they make childproof locks for them like they do for kitchen cabinets?

Babies learn how to unlatch the dish washer very quickly.
Yes, there is a babyproofing device. (I can't find a picture, but it's like a belt buckle that glues to the countertop and the dishwasher door.) You can buy one at Target. Eventually John broke ours, so we're kind of at a loss at the moment.
