2 Christmas Eve Videos

We had a nice Christmas Eve spent with Ben's mother Christine at her home in Dartmouth, Massachusetts (approximately 2 hours from our house). Ben's brother and sister also joined us. We all spent the night, and though it is always a tight squeeze (and will be an even tighter squeeze next year when we have Leo and his 8-month-old brother or sister with us), it's a visit we've come to look forward to every year. Out of everyone, I think I got the best sleep. Part of my Christmas present was an evening of uninterrupted sleep in the guest bedroom (which is normally Ben's sister's room, so thank you Josie!) Ben slept with Leo on an air mattress in the living room with his sister on the couch next to him while I slept soundly alone in her room upstairs. This is the first time I had slept through the night in 15 months! Ben also was kind enough to get me a much-needed day at the spa - a gift certificate I plan to redeem before my belly gets too big to enjoy it.

Leo enjoyed seeing Christine's dog. At 15 months old, Leo is now at an age where he asks what everything is. While he has consistently been saying "What's that?" "Mama," "Dada," "Lights," "Banana," and "Doggy" for a few months now, what's neat about the video below is that you can actually see him associating the words with the correct objects, which is something new!

And thank you Auntie Anne for the cell phone you gave Leo. As you can see from both videos, it was a huge hit. No matter what we handed him, he always wanted the cell phone instead :-)

Isn't an uninterrupted night's sleep like a dream come true? I'm so happy for you! I got a window of uninterrupted sleep starting at about seven months pregnant with #2. So, I got about one month of no baby night duty and then #2 came along. But she's a much better sleeper than #1! It's just wonderful!
