Yesterday we went to our Wednesday playgroup which was held at Rachel's house in Lunenburg. It also happened to be Angelina's (one of Rachel's daughter's) birthday! I had my hands full when I arrived at Rachel's house. The moms were doing a cookie swap, so I had 5 dozen cookies, a salad I made for the luncheon with edible flowers on it, a present for Angelina, a present for the 'Christmas grab-bag,' and a 17 pound baby! No wonder my back feels a little sore!
Leo and I went to our monthly La Leche League meeting before arriving at Rachel's house. The meeting was good, but Leo's tummy was upset. He threw up on me 3 times! Thankfully, by the time I arrived at Rachel's house for playgroup my shirt had dried. I'm always good at remembering to bring a change of clothes for Leo, but today I learned that I also need to bring a change of shirts for myself wherever I go!
I put edible flowers in the salad that I made for our luncheon. I intended the salad to be something the moms could munch on, but the kids took interest in the fact that they could eat the flowers.

It was hard to tell whether or not the kids liked the flowers...

But they sure did like their presents from the 'Christmas grab-bag!'

You are awesome, Rebecca! Edible flowers! I'm excited to see that Leo is up to 17 pounds now. He's going to be a big boy! A friend-of-a-friend I know had a baby who was 30 pounds at 12 months old, despite being almost entirely breastfed (he took to solids slowly, like my John).
