As many of you already know, I am currently working on a research paper on St. John Chrysostom which is due in Rome at the end of the month. I am about to begin researching a few important points, and I'm wondering if any of my readers happen to know the answer to any of the following questions. If not, I'm hoping some of you might be able to recommend some good sources. Thank you in advance!My questions are as follows:
1). To what extent was Roman law imposed in ancient Syria (particularly Antioch) in the time of Chrysostom (347-407)?
2). To what extent did Greek law influence this region during this time period?
3). Were Pater Familias/Patria Potestas the dominant family dynamic?
