Lindsay's "Blessing Way"

Since this will be my friend Lindsay's second baby, instead of having a traditional baby shower where everyone brings gifts for the baby, some friends of hers decided to host a "Blessing Way" where Lindsay's friends gathered to pamper her and share positive birth stories.  Other activities on the itinerary were writing encouraging things on a cotton maternity t-shirt for Lindsay to wear during her birth.  Each of us also brought something to put on a collage for her to enjoy during the birth - it could be a photograph, a saint card, some words of wisdom...

Unfortunately, I had to leave a bit early to attend Uncle Charlie's birthday party, but I did leave her my favorite picture for the collage - a picture of my face and Ben's face when we held Leo for the first time only seconds after he was born.  I know that Lindsay will do great and I can't wait for her and her husband Robert to be able to meet their baby face to face!
