Leo and Benjamin had so much fun at "Mother Goose on the Loose" when Erin and I brought them last week that we decided to do it again this week. I think we're going to make it a regular thing :-) Leo sat in his Bumbo Babysitter and was captivated. He laughed and smiled a lot. He particularly enjoyed the puppets.

Do you love the bumbo? I originally had one on my registry and then took it off (can't remember why) and now I keep going back and forth on it. I think it would be really useful but at the same time it is just another thing to take up space that we REALLY don't have. What do you think???
BTW I was looking at the storytime info at my library and they have it so split up by age (birth to 11 months, 12-18 months, etc etc) that I wonder what families with more than one child spanning age groups do?! Isn't that weird?
Regarding the Bumbo: I think it's useful, but definitely not a necessity. What I like about it is that it's lightweight and easy to put in the car and bring places...on a trip to Grandma's house or to the library...things like that. On the downside, I don't know any baby who will stay in it happily for an extended period of time unless they're being entertained simultaneously. The longest Leo will stay in it is in situations like at the library where he's looking at the teacher who is interacting with him. I think they retail for $38, which is kind of expensive. If you could get one on consignment or as a gift, it would definitely be worth it. Otherwise, I can think of other things to spend the $38 on. But I do find it very useful when I'm out and about :-)
That's strange that your library splits it up by ages. You should check out the birth-11 month events though...it might be fun for you. Sometimes I think my friend Erin and I have more fun there than the boys. HAHA
